What is a Visual Perceptual Assessment?

Developmental delay in Visual Information Processing (Visual Perception) is an issue for some children with learning difficulties. The purpose of a Visual Perceptual Assessment is to be able to identify these children and to make practical recommendations of activities to help them with their learning.

A visual perceptual assessment takes 1 hour and is scheduled after the initial assessment.

There are many causes of learning difficulties. Addressing visual perceptual problems benefits many children by assisting them to be visually available for learning, but this is not a substitute for teaching children to learn how to read and how to enjoy reading to learn. Developmental Vision Therapy assists children to be more visually available to their parents and teachers for learning.
